The Future List of Shame post, I suppose…

Anyway, in addition to lots of other loveliness, for Christmas I bagged :

Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie – I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one, it featured in a lot of “Years Best” Lists, so I’m bumping it up the TBR.

She-Wolves by Helen Castor. Proper history , to accompany the BBC Four series, about the women who ruled England in the days before the Tudors. Nice chunky hardback!

Knife / Arrow by R J Anderson – I already had “Rebel” – the second volume in this modern world / fairy sequence, and now I have the first and third books in a nice matching set (rare in this house, where the books are higgledy-piggledy….)

Helleconia by Brian Aldiss – one that should already be on the List of Shame. This is the SF Masterworks omnibus edition – it’s hefty!

Sympathy for the Devil by Howard Marks – a foray into Cardiff-based crime from Mr Nice…

There might have been a couple more. Chris got The Encyclopedia of Star Wars Illustration and The Cream of Tank Girl, both of which he read making increasingly happy noises 🙂

What about you? Did you get books? And what are you looking forward to reading next year?
