Over on Bristol blog Ephemeral Digest, they’re running their own World Cup style competition to find the best novel or short story collection set in Bristol. The tournament is about to kick off, and there’s a good showing for our books in the draw, with Airship Shape and Bristol Fashion, Colinthology, Dark Spires and Future Bristol, as well as Tim Maughan’s Paintwork, all included in the “Short Stories Mostly” section. Fingers crossed they do well!
I’m really hoping for a good showing for the books edited by my late friend Colin Harvey, and obviously it would be nice if Airship and Colinthology do well too!

Hopefully we’ll make a better showing than the England team did in Brazil…
